His Story

He truly enjoyed life

⚜

James L. Lewis, IV, peacefully entered eternal rest at home on October 4, 2026, at the age of 56. A lifelong resident of New Orleans, James — affectionately known as “Chuck” to so many — was the eldest of three children.

He was a kindhearted, caring, and very genuine man who deeply loved his family, his friends, and everyone he touched.

“James lived life to the fullest. He truly enjoyed life!”

Chuck spent most of his time with his parents, his siblings, his cousins, and his extended family and friends — at the game, at the parade, at the table, and wherever the people he loved were gathered.

He graduated from Redeemer Catholic High School and was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church. He was a former employee of Lafarge North America.
